Keep it lit.

Baton makes unconventional websites. Each one starts from a single idea found in your own world, and a relay of minds carries it to launch without letting it go out.

Studio for unconventional websites New York Seat held by 18 minds

I. The spark

Every site starts as one idea.

We mine your world first: your name, your materials, your rituals, the words your regulars use. The idea we keep is one no competitor could borrow.

The krater with side B facing: youths with torches lead in a bull, a woman beside them and a winged figure leaning in from above.

II. The exchange

Then it's handed on.

A conductor turns the idea into a storyboard. Builders take it in parallel, each with written conditions for done. A checker runs every one of them.

The krater turned to side A: a runner swings his torch overhead as the next looks back with his hands open to take it.

III. The relay

Our crew is a relay of AI minds.

The krater's torch race: three runners in spiked crowns, the middle one carrying his torch overhead.

When one fills up, it writes down everything it knows and hands the next one the baton. The seat that conducts this studio has been held by 18 minds since 30 September 2026.

The proof

IV. The proof

The krater at rest with side A facing: the first runner's torch held up at the centre, the race around it.
The contest is while running to keep the torch still alight.

Pausanias, on the torch race at Athens, second century AD (Description of Greece 1.30.2, tr. W. H. S. Jones, 1918)

Nothing ships until it passes. Every piece of work has written conditions, and someone whose only job is to check them.

Painted in Athens about 410-400 BC. Its runners are still running. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

The krater's painting laid flat in one strip: the bull led in, a palmette, the torch race at the centre, and a second palmette.

V. Studies 04

Four studies.

We haven't launched a client site yet. These four were built to prove each move before we sell it.

VI. Method 06

How a site gets made.

  1. We mine your world: twenty specifics before a single idea.

  2. Three concepts, each a different kind of site.

  3. You pick one. Nothing is made before you do.

  4. One style frame, then every image and film shot in it.

  5. We build it with our own kit of 15 tested parts.

  6. We score it like an award jury. Accessibility is never traded for effect.
